The macbook is a laptop, which is a portable computer, made by the company Apple Inc. The macbook ended up replacing the ibook. It is also the first laptop created by Apple to use Intel processors. It was released in the year 2006. It has a glossy LCD screen. It has a built in camera, built in speakers, and built in mic. It can play CDs and DVDs. It uses a rechargeable battery pack. The battery on the laptop can last up to two hours and thirty minutes without a charge. Different models contain different amounts of memory on the hard drive. They can hold from 60 GB to 500 GB on the hard drive.

Most of the macbook casing is made from aluminum. They also come in different sizes. The macbook also contains a magnetic power cord so that if the power cord is yanked the laptop does not go down with it. Earlier models of macbook didn't come with Firewire 800 but later models did include the Firewire 800. The macbook can connect to the Internet using wifi. Many models include an Ethernet port incase one wants to use a cable as oppose to wireless Internet connection. It also contains USB ports to connect to other accessories like an external hard drive, thumb drive, wired mouse, and many other things. The macbook also contains Bluetooth, which allows it make a wireless connection to other devices like a headset or mouse.

The macbook pro can also run a program called boot camp, which allows it run Windows on its software. The macbook pro also has two central processing units, which makes the computer run faster as oppose to a single central processing unit. It also has a backlit light on the monitor, which allows one to use the laptop in the dark. It has a trackpad, which can be used to move the cursor and a single button for clicking. You can press control and the mouse button at the same time to left click. The laptop is upgradeable unlike laptops of the early 1980s. Its display can be altered to show the image on the screen in different sizes.

Earlier models of the macbook tend to build up heat causing the bottom of the laptop to be hot to the touch but with later models are able to disperse more heat thus reducing the heat build up the macbook produces. With the early models of the macbook it would tend to create noise when the computer is running or is doing a task but with later models of the macbook noise have been reduced significantly. The macbook can display a wide range of colors. The macbook has the ability to adjust the brightness setting on the screen. Using less brightness on the macbook can make the battery last longer. Many macbook models have backlight keyboards making it more visible to see especially if one is in the dark. The later models are thinner and weighs less then the earlier models.
